Getting Started With Event Marketing


  1. Access your SimplyCast account by logging in at SimplyCast.com.


  2. Once inside the Application, select Event Marketing by clicking on the icon in the center of the screen to arrive at the Event Marketing Dashboard.


  3. From the Event Marketing Dashboard you can:


    1. View and Edit Contact Lists


    2. Create and send a New Campaign


    3. View existing Events


  4. Step1: Create and Enter a Project Name.



  5. Step 2: Information like the taglines, location & description are entered here. Include Starting Date/Ending Dates for the event, and the host name and contact info. To include a map of the location, choose the radial button labelled Show Map Yes.












  6. Step 3: Basic Options can be set such as Event Type (Public/Private), Invite Others (No/Yes - Limit) Bring Friends (No/Yes - Limit) Custom RSVP Response (Yes/No/Maybe) Max Capacity, Require Name When RSVP (No/Yes) Guest Options include whether or not you want them to see who has RSVP'd, if you would like to Assign RSVP notifications, and whether or not commenting will be allowed for the event by Guests.






  7. Step 4: Advanced Options such as YouTube Links, Photographs, and Reminders can be set using the various options found in this step. When you're done tweaking your event invitation options the way you want it, it's time to design it. Click Next Step.









  8. Step 5: Invitations are designed in this step using the editor. Use the built in tools and follow the on-page instructions to design an effective invitation. When you're finished editing the invitation, scroll down and you have the ability to view and download the current guest list. Further, you're able to choose guest RSVP options.





  9. Step 6: Preview both the invitation email and the RSVP page. If it looks good, click Next Step.



  10. Step 7: Send the event out. First we are able to review the credit status before adjusting any mailing options. In my mailing options, choose a subject, a from name, and a from address. Then, specify whether or not you want to track the HTML emails, and which mailing, or contact lists to distribute to. Send yourself a test email with the built in function, and finally schedule the event advertising campaign to begin.



  11. Step 8: Once the email is sent, this section is used to review the results of the campaign.

View Existing Events

  1. To view existing events from the Dashboard click View your existing events.


  2. A list of your events will appear. The following statistics are displayed for each event:


    1. Name - The name of the Event


    2. Yes/No/Maybe/??? - Shows the number of contacts that have responded and what their responses have been


    3. Opened - How many invitations have been opened


    4. Sent - How many invitations have been sent


  3. You will also see action icons to the right which are used for:

    The Binoculars - View the Event
    The Pencil - Edit Event
    Runner - Send Invites
    Red X - Delete Event
